Now that's something I can agree with. But I still can't agree with the sentiment someone else expressed that, Let's look at the good: we traveled the world, learned languages & were blessed.
I may have traveled the world, but I didn't SEE the world. Learned languages? Yeah, basic begging phrases. Blessed? I'm smelling the coffee now & waking up isn't always pleasant or fun but it is preferable.
Why can't we just say, 'I wasted those years!' There are a few redeeming things but for the most part I shot the best years of my life.
I know ordinary 'systemites' who feel after 20-30 years at a deadend, treadmill job that their lives were wasted! Or invest 5 years' worth of savings in some fraudulent venture & lose it all, & they can say, 'It was all for nothing!' And they weren't even involved in a criminal organization. So why can't we integrate a mistake into our lives?
