Judy/Shulamite:

He also didn't elaborate when, while speaking to Peter, said, "Get thee behind Me, Satan"; did he?

At the Last Supper, in referring to Judas, He didn't elaborate when he said, "...and, yet, one of you is a devil..."

In Jn 8, he told religious leaders that they were of their Father, the devil.

Modern "bad science" (not truly scientific) makes too many appeals to the "medical model" ("It came out of nowhere and got me, and nothing I do is my fault--everything wrong I do is someone else's fault."

Back in the late 60's a TV comic, Flip Wilson, excused his own wrong actions by saying, "The Devil made me do it!"

Some Christians appeal to the extremes by either blaming everything on the Devil, disavowing his existence (both of which CS Lewis would say is wrong), and some resort to the medical model. Their reason for doing so is to say that what they did wrong in the past was some "disorder" or diease--same thing.

IMO, it's a lot easier to just repent, and start over today, walking after the Spirit, and not the flesh.
