Remember the parables that Jesus spoke of, particularly the wheat growing up with the weeds. That's the idea, that's the message in that parable.
The world was full of wars and cruelties long before there was a Christianity or a Judaism or a Islamism.
The thing about religion is that miscreants of all kinds can hide in the walls and temples of these organizations and use them for their own purpose. We sure saw that with Berg, now didn't we? That didn't make the religion itself evil, especially if we really try to understand it and not just listen to some pervert interpret it for us so he could use us for his own ends.
