Hey! Can't we do both? Can't we save nearly-extinct species and help people too. "This ought ye to have done, and not to have left the other undone."
And Berg praised lack of birth control so much, as if filling the world with billions of people and wiping out all the resources and animal habitat as if it was nothing.
Huh. In the old days of the Family we beleived that the curse of the industrialized West was that they "filled the face of the earth with cities."
Now it's a good thing? Oh well, doctrinal flip-flops.
Yeah, and about caring so much for people? HELL! Berg said AIDs was good for Africa, killing off the little children, lest they grow up in such a bad world!
He also lectured Family members who were "stupid" enough to work in charity to feed and clothe the poor. (That was before the new Remember the Poor push.)
