I remember that another person closely associated with the Inklings was Dorothy L. Sayers. I wrote a paper at university that was about how accomplished and strong-minded she was, as the first woman to get a Masters at Oxford, and a Doctorate from the University of Durham.

It is extremely doubtful that the Inkings were at all sexist, especially Lewis. The read their manuscripts out loud to one another and received sometimes brutal critiques from each other as lifelong friends.

Except for Charles WIlliams, all were Christian, and the group's emphasis, and central fellowship, was Christian; and Tolkein and Sayers were Anglo-Catholic.
