Dear Don, certainly I wish you very well in your studies & since I assume, that it happens to be a good College, I believe it'll benefit you & others.However you're surely aware of the dangers
of science if not put into perspective(as e.g. theology taught at many universities from America to Europe, I must assume & also know...but that's not even the only field, where science is less clear, than it makes people believe):

What is under the diguise of science is not so easily discovered, I guess & Berg was altogether
sceptical of it & made up his own "Bible-science".
On the other hand, a lot of times he simply quoted people he knew or read about etc.So when you belittle Berg & TF sometimes you directly belittle the one he quoted.In the example of St.Francis I was of the opinion, that Berg promoted a really good film about someone, who had such an amazing biography.I always loved that movie & was glad that it was shown several times in TV, usually at Eastern or at other Christian feastdays...I noticed though, that nowadays there are hardly any good movies to be found on the diverse channels during those days, which is just a reflection of the "Zeitgeist"
In my opinion it doesn't make us any less determined to be against the wrongdoings of TF, if we once in a while acknowledge, where things have been good or handled/viewed right, otherwise we become a bit in-credible, for no one
joins any outfit, if there's not some certain benefit for onesself &/or others.As TF wants to be altruistic/idealistic, it certainly harps on that, but here & there I believe I benefitted, which is just another subject altogether.
Many SGs have that problem with FGs, who are after their exit so extremely opposed to TF altogether, that one could wonder, why we stayed for so long...to me that doesn't make sense either!Just a thought.
