Dear OT 2...I appreciate your comment & am happy, that you belong to the very outspoken sort of Christians.I know one dear evangelist, who told me some truth about me head on & that was very healing, though uncomfortable at first. I am, as many could witness, really not so kind often, sometimes the nerves are more bare than I like it...sort of giving in to pressure & set schedules/ideas....but thanks for the assessment.
I sympathise with Skep, for often I tried to figure things out myself & want also not to fall prey to some false believes...it says to prove everything....however the faith way...with the word, I might add.Otherwise we're naturally curious....I like the verse in Ecclesiastes you included. Thanks.Good, that we have some feedback from people, who have been in the family...in a way it's about birds of the same feather ; )
I admire both you and Mark for having left quite early, soon after joining...I thought, I really had found a place to serve the Lord well...the alarmbells rang much later. That's in my frame of thoughts lack of real wisdom....better late than never though...It's good to see you sound in faith...
Just one more thing regarding miracles....some people just want to see something new (flesh), a miracle, signs, wonders...the Greek wanted wisdom. In some way the Lord met that, but in another HE .didn't...some were disappointed...
Miracles also the devil has done & will do...from the magicians of the pharoh(although the priests of Baal were unsuccessful another time) to Rev. 13....so quite a few people will marvel after the wrong guy/people....It sounds TFish, pardon me, but love is a miracle was a nice term...phrase....just because TF happens to use something catchy & good doesn't make me swallow the other stuff anymore.
Here's just a link a picture of a grave of a mathematician, called/known as finitists....I think Brouwer was also one?!...Kronecker is supposed to have said, that God made the integer numbers & man made the rest...(dear Kronecker, please explain)
I like the verse on the tombstone
