Dear Skep:

Thank you for clarifying your point about your "initial comments about miracles, our perception of miracles and and the effect of those perceptions in my own faith".

I embrace our similarities as well as our differences--that's what makes life so very interesting--specifically the relationships available to us as human beings, created in the image of God.

I strongly suspect that you are, indeed, someone who, as Scripture says, "studies to be quiet", and who really does have a careful and methodical way of analyzing to ideas posed by others as well as listening to ones self, as well as trying to hear God's "still, small voice", while endeavoring to do so. I applaud that in anybody.

Comparison between us and any supposed measure of strength of assumed faith is, as Paul warned, probably not wise, as God deals with us individually and circumstantially, and since there exists not only relationally developed faith, which we all must grow in by contiuing in God's Word and contemplative prayer, but the "supercharged" type, if you will, which accompanies gifts given circumstantially by God the Holy Spirit, usually more according to the needs of those we minister to, rather than based on us.

Your English is very good, and very understandable and fluid, but I suspect, because of some of your phraseology that it is not your original language. What is your native language; if I might ask?

Please continue to post, and/or write me at my email address. Thanks.

sincerely,
OT2 (OldtimerToo)
