Yeah--I did a "Search" on MovingOn.org for "statistics", and one of the more informative articles was by a "Lauren", who kind of explained the some of the issues of contention you mentioned. Can you elaborate?

For Laurren's article, see:

Your last comment was very interesting. How likely is it, and how do you assume it would occur, for "a fundamental change in the perspectives and values of the group within two generations" to take place? By new leadership willing to leave the fold?

Less oppression? More oppression?

Do you predict more "actually Christian-like" doctrine to replace the perversion and abuses, in order to not run afoul of potential donors, or just a more efficient "closeting" of bad beliefs and worse behaviors? Is the change you imagine for the better?

Has TF been historically successful with its sex doctrines, kidnapping, abuse and so on in countries with less "western, industrial social pathology", or with more?

How true was that in, say, the Phillippines? Didn't the backwardness there facilitate the isolation and perversion because it was NOT Western, industrial and social?

Please explain.

Sincerely,
OT2 (OldtimerToo)
