Dear OT2:
-An ethical PHD in the helping profession should not demean another's commentary.
- Anyone with ambition, money, time and the ability to memorize can get a degree. The toweres are full of such individuals grinding out their pensions at the expense of those that are in need.
- It is in the quality of practice, the giving, that the individual's real ability is displayed
- The most important skills in any healing profession are empathy, objective consideration and compassion
- Healers are supposed to do no harm. You do not know me or what I pain I have payed to be on this site or to say the things I say. For all you know I am a ghost.
- Have you ever believed a lie in your heart? That is what we are dealing with. Joel's stuff was taught as if it was from the mouth of God. Many were sucked in by his words because they were caught in the lie of the family. Of all the people who suffered the most, our kids and the sincere, vulnerable disciples were the ones.
-You really do sound instructive, like a stats prof. If the negation is false then the equation is true....
- FYI Bi Polar and Schizophrenia are two different disorders with some similarity in symptoms. Schizophrenia is primarily an acute perception psychosis with no polarity. Bi Polar is a diosorder with clearly discernable manic and depressive phases. Both are the result of chemical imbalance in the brain. Both disorders have broad bands of intensity. Both cannot be clearly diagnosed without removing variables such as other illness or substance abuse. It is critically important in axial examination to clearly articulate all the background info and presenting behaviours before intervention begins. Certain treatment approaches for one disorder can be physically, emotionally or behaviourly toxic on the other. This information is clearly outlined in the DSM4R and DSM5.
- Anyways, I mean no harm, I had a career in all this stuff and I was glad to retire early. I've seen too many of the sick, the doomed and the too young dead that fell through the cracks to take any satisfaction in credentials, positions or knowledge.
