I always took comfort in that futuristic view that God would provide healing leaves for the healing of the nations and that he would wipe away all our tears. Sometimes it even happens in this life. The song Amazing Grace, apparently, was written by a pilgrim coming over on a boat which capsized and he lost his whole family. He wrote the song after this huge loss. That kind of bothered me for a long time, but what does one do when there seems to be so much wrong in the world? If we don't believe in anything bigger than ourselves, I do think we are very lost.
I don't have all the answers either -but I believe that every good and perfect gift comes from above, the rest of it is crap and should be laid to rest where it belongs.
