I am gob-smacked!! Your answers merely prove the point of my last post re: religious fanaticism. If I read it right what you’re saying is, ‘I’ve told you the answers, if you don’t want to believe I’m right by faith then go away & stop reading & criticising the Bible’.
I was looking for answers to my questions out of sincerity, not a dictatorial answer. You have not really answered any of my questions other than, the Bible is the word of God, believe or perish. Sorry but that doesn’t cut the mustard or jive with any attempt at an intelligent debate & belongs in a medieval Spanish Inquisition. You have not for example justified murdering babies & children in the name of God other than they were evil, slay them all boys. Such a God would be a monster. There is nothing wrong with questioning the Bible or your attempts at answering my questions.
As for my sincerity & knowledge of The Bible…I was a fundamental Christian for 25 years, taught Bible classes, memorised lots of verses & won many so called souls to The Lord. I have since come to question many of the basic dogma’s & common foundations of Christianity. If I am wrong I will be put right through reason & believe as many intelligent people do, if the truth lies somewhere else I will not believe in Christianity as many intelligent people do not. I’m still waiting for answers.
