I certainly agree there are lots of peaceful Islamic poeple. My problem is that the Jihad extremists have been killing all over the world not caring who gets in the way. They also have a habit of beating women for dress and restricting human rights in any area they control. They are just like the extreme Christians who killed and enslaved others during the height of the Catholic Inquisition. Extreme anything does not work in a democracy.
Another really serious problem, that nobody talks about, is that there is approx 90 lbs of weapons grade plutonium missing from the Eastern block and presumed sold to underground interests. The Jihad probably is sitting on some of it. A crude bomb takes approx 5 lbs give or take. There also is a rumour that the old soviet union also 'lost' a few of the experimental suitcase tactical nukes they developed. The problem for peaceful Islam is that they are and have also been targets of the Islamic radicals. If all this shit keeps up the nukes will fly. I sure hope not. It is pretty well impossible to stop a group of militants who are willing to take their own lives as a means to prosecute their war on the west. We live in some scary times. The other issue is that Israel has Nukes and will obviously use them if they are pushed hard enough in an all out war. France also has taken the position that, in the event of any major attack on France, they will not hesitate to use nuclear force on the attacker regardless of location. Pretty soon finding WMD will not be so hard as every nation will have a few. I'd like to chat more but I have to go and do some maint. chores on the family bomb shelter. Oh well, back to the early sixties again.
Sure hope that none of the radical extremists out there are eating large quantities of twinkies. If so we are all fubared
