Oops--I accidentally hit my "Return" button--sorry.

A.C.

I actually am interested in more of the self-determination part of your life, OTHER than your most likely justifiable taking of offense against racism, stereotyping, and so on.

Just about all of us here are exers; with the exceptions of the merely curious (and they sometimes try to just "stir things up" for their own amusement) and also current members.

Since I can accurately remember my own way of thinking and programmed response while still in TF, I am VERY circumspect in what I say for the benefit of current members. I keep things simple, try to suppress my anger at Berg-induced thinking and circular argumentation, and try to keep things light.

Please remember that, although all us exers do have certain things in common, we are all at different places, so to speak, in our post-cult recovery.

When you insist on pressing a point that people are noticeably NOT responding to, you should probably take the hint, unless you LIKE the choice of taking offense, and it IS a choice.

When I have chosen to ignore these stated facts, I have usually alienated other readers and posters, and gotten into useless harangues; some of which have gotten me banned for awhile.

We all fell strongly about some things, but not the same topics all at the same time. I'd say that your mention of offense at being called a "whiner" in TF was a retaliation on your part, and an attempt to insultingly project that on other posters. Indeed, why NOT let it drop?

The Coordinators HAVE given a lot of leeway, historically, and it is not the type of a parent mediating the squabbles of children. If you are PERVEIVED as trying to “sic” the Coordinators on people, instead of maturely and equitably handling the conflict yourself by returning to civility and reasonableness, you’ll almost always get an adverse reaction.

This really is a community of sorts, A.C., and certain behaviors will get you sanctioned, or at least ignored; I've found. When I was challenged a couple of times by a Coordinator, I actually learned something, and adapted.

I’d rather get to know you as a person, here, than just see you as someone whose posts I’d rather ignore and not read.

“Word to the wise”; Bubba!

Sincerely,
