Hi Acheick, Actually I am packed up to head for the hills so to speak and have been for years, but I must admit that I personally do not know to what degree that course of preparation was of the Lord and what part was just my own reasonings on the matter. I feel like a soldier on the eve of a major battle that hasn't received any orders to move out. The danger as I see it is that many Christians will panic and start reacting out of fear rather than faith. The most important thing is to admit that we need Jesus to keep our acts together and build us up by His Spirit. The Lord said, "Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my sake and the gospels the same shall save it." So then the only sure way is to draw close to the Lord and learn to rest in confidence so that whatever happens we will be ready to stand with Him at His return. One thing I have learned is that we have to get into God's Word (AKJV) because that is what He uses to cleanse us from all that worldly filth and restore us in the faith. The world itself has been carefully designed to snare Christians into all kinds of foolish and sinful ways and many anti-Christs (false saviors)are walking around with bibles and filling the pulpits to lure believers into dead end traps. (By REPLACING Jesus - God's Word and His Holy Spirit as Lord in our lives.)(EG. Rome, Berg, et al.) Alot of Christians these days are walking around in a daze thinking God is some kind of vending machine. They all want something from God, but are not willing to surrender their lives to Him. It's not something from Him that we need, it is HIM that we need. We desperately need His love filling our hearts and Jesus won't let us rest until we give up on our own, 'do it yourself' religious restoration schemes. The Holy Spirit puts love in our hearts for the things of God; love, faith, peace, obedience (HOLINESS) Any influence that points any other way is NOT from the Lord. Jesus is NOT a religion, He is GOD. His love is so great it is beyond our comprehension. We have to be like children before Him, because believe me, He is not the least impressed with our GREAT knowledge. Hee hee hee. I am placing a link to an excellent article that I have just read, that I am planning to link up to as a new addition on my web site. The Lord bless you and fill you with His peace and love.
