Hey, I was around a number of schools in the early days and can say that there were DOLLS and teddy bears and stuffed animals most places I was, often in line with the culture. for instance, in Scandinavia, it is not uncommon to have boys with dolls. I mean, why should parenting only be of interest to women?
I did hear, (hearsay only) that one family member's kid (kid that came into the family in the very early days from a mom who had been one of T. Leary's Acid queens...)had been deprived from toys and he was very damaged emotionally because of that. Or he may have just been autistic with added damage from deprivation. In any case, when I joined, and there were very few children around, I know babies had a few stimulating toys, or alot, and in the schools that I was in there was lots of stimulation. Just usually not much parental contact except for a minority of the kids there. Are you sure B. wasn't in the fam and the one that was the doll destroyer? Weird. Wonder if that phobia has a name? What would it be called? barbiphobia? As a diagnosis? Dead Doll syndrome?
