In Family homes, at the time of the letters like the "Talisman", remember that one, some dolls became potential vehicules for "evil spirits" coming into the "fold"--especially if unfavorable grand parents had sent the dolls as a gift to their grand children. The grand mother was probably a "Gracie", remember that on, in other words a witch. So with the gift of the dolls to the children the witch sorcerer grand parent was sending in evil spirits to attack the "children of David". In fact, there was a whole slew of letters on the subject that only served to agrandize the "humble prophet David". "Hong Kong Goolagong", the letter about Eman and the "Chinese Demon", and the letters on Genesis, I think that was Eman's wife. There's no end to the list of letters about how important Berg was, so the Devil was constantly sending in his most powerful forces to attack him and TF. Maria and Peter have kept the tradition going, they've come up with "Selvegion" and the "Vandari", etc.

So there were dolls and there were dolls, some dolls did get destroyed, but there was not an official policy for children not to be allowed to have dolls and teddy bears. The policy was to pray over everything, and every toy, anything that might carry a "hitchhiker".
