You agree with an interpretation of the Bible according to some Christians and all I am saying is that you are entitled to your opinion of it, but your opinion is not the same one that all Christians hold any more than what the Taliban believes is what all Islamists believe.

I don't object to your having your opinions about homosexuality or new ageism or yoga or whatever other belief or lifestyle you and some Christians personally believe are aberrant or jumping with demons.

The only thing I am objecting to is when someone posts something like Susie did, and it was helpful to me and I enjoyed it, I don't need anyone telling me how dangerous that sort of writing is. People with "good" intentions have burned books, imprisoned people for thoughts, beliefs or actions that did not meet their majority standard since the world began and people first held meetings.

Putting it plain and simple, I am not asking you to change your opinions, I just don't like when someone talks to me in a parental or authoritative way about what THE one true interpretation of the Bible is even when I am known not to be a Christian. If I ever accepted Christianity it would be because of friends from a reconciling church that accept me just as I am.

I understood this board as being a place where people from differing walks of life after the family are welcome to discuss their journeys with the safety of not being preached at.

Maybe that is where the contention lies. Maybe it is because people here first wanted to explore Christianity as opposed to the way Berg screwed it up and did a nut number on our heads with it.

Maybe it is growing pains from learning to adjust to others whose ways of life are alternative forms of spirituality and aren't even identified as Christian or are Christian and not conservative.

What do you think the problem is?

I mean, I have not one time told you or OT2 that your views are wrong and you should listen to me because I have authority and experience with religiosity that I can spare you from a life of misery, or anything like that.
