Well, Acheick, so much for political correctness...sure we could do this by email, but my
God, this is about genocide & an acncient people, who was among the first to adopt Christianity...I mean, I reasoned & thought a lot about the persecution of the Jews, be it at the hand of the Germans all through all the ages...I mean, if persecution is something religious/political, then your journey might be quite affected...I am reading right now again about the persecution the Anabaptists received...of course their were mistakes & mishandling on both sides, but one theologian of that time was right on IMO, that he thought, that many of the problems with the established church stem from their mingling OT & NT in quite a bad way...once they had the power...meaning they used the sword to perpetrate their crimes, acheiving their wicked goals.

If someone happened to be a Jew on this board, I certainly would express regret & sorrow about the holocaust...likewise this genocide would have to be addressed & what else happened.I mean a clinical pure journey space is wonderful, but I think it's the spirit of it & who would deny & argue about it unless a Turkish nationalist & whoever.I'd ask them to continue to stick
their heads in the sand & leave us alone here...

I can understand the sensitivity of the German Jews.In the light of the atrocities committed by the Germans, it's forbidden by law & under punishment to deny the holocaust, plus a few other things...I mean, I wished the same principle applied for Turkey. It has nothing to do with a country showing some signs of change, it has to do with being willing to face a horrible past & that's what we also talk about regarding TF, where they failed...it's microcosm & macrocosm...a lot
of sins finally lead to a genocide, but it starts somewhere in the heart & minds of some real wicked people...called "leaders"

Long ago I had thought about the same subject, but had apparently forgotten about it: what happened to all the Christians in Asia Minor after Islam swept the region...I guess besides forced conversion they probably thought to get rid of the "infidels" back then, by extinguishing the armenian race...a guess so far...have to look into it...I still have to do quite some work on the holocaust...but I have that on my agenda as well now...

I don't have too much time now, but I heard before about some links of armenian to aramaic, the language Jesus spoke...I heard, that some "tribes" in the east of Turkey still are speaking some resemblance of the origninal, as it's a syriac language...

s.it...the link is not dynamic...I haven't found out yet why...oh well...
