Well my oh my what a sweeping statement. Do you have respect for your mother? Just curious. My mother is 88 years old and I would never thibk of "telling her so". I was spanked and got the belt quite a few times form my dad (rest his soul)and I can't say I'm a violent person. I spanked my son and he is 26 years old and is one of the most passive people I know.
