It matters, how you look at it...

CHRISTIANITY, the so called followers of Jesus,...

Observer...I can live with that statement...knowing fully...that the Lord knows who are His...also knowing that King David for lust of the eye sent Uriah to the forefront...as you fully know...KD was a believer and in such way that I can relate to him...having not been a murderer or orchestrating/instigating /planning murder...I still take comfort in Psalm 51...you know that is prior to the Christian era...do tell me where in the NT people planned any killings...Christians that is? (ok Jesus Himself planning to get rid of the devil's ilk on His return...I agree)

caesaropapism is not my fault nor my idea of living for Christ...big fault in history...no more chiliastic faith it appears...rather striving for power here on earth

's_Name

I just got that book cheap via ebay last week and read that within 3 days...great book by Yallop...I lived in Italy for five years in the late 80ies early 90ies, can relate to the themes of the book...
I have hardly any sympathies left for the Catholic church, some more for individuals...same goes for the Lutheran church for what Luther said in his later days about the Jews...I left TFI and warn against them...I warn greatly about many/most charismatic movements for the errors within...but not even the brethren movement/dispensationalism has it all, though I treasure the priesthood of the believers lived there...What to say?Church is not an exhibition/museum of perfect believers...rather a workshop/craftmensplace etc.

The NT letters plainly say nobody should suffer persecution as a murderer or thief...thieves TFI have produced...in the deceivers yet true manner...

But you're are wrong...in so much as these deeds all are not always what you read the deeds of true Christians...none of the people I know from church personally nowadays suffered any conflict with the law nor were terrorists...now where do you get that distortion???

I stand to be corrected...but I read recently...after I read a few volumes about the inquisition...that the figures weren't as high/"bad" as I presumed years ago (and Germany is not known to be much pro church nowadays!!!)...they were worst in Germany itself (@ 20000 dead) and best in Rome itself...where there was opposition...like in Germany the inquisition raged more

Still I am against that of course

Lucio Gelli by the way of the P2 was/is an atheist...we had that here before on the boards...we slap that (atheism) under religion nowadays...because it's a
religion of unbelief...then you have Stalin...Pol Pot and the like...tell me...were they believers?...I think you must get ahold of some history books to tell you some more

Hitler is considered by many a theist but not really even a catholic...not at all a Christian and some of his "buddies" were into
esoteric stuff or atheists....so what is your "yelling" all about???Many wars have been "simply" just for plain power...sometimes under religious disguise...

And please do me a favour and publish here...for all to see, how many died in more recent years of the Muslims...just in persecution for their faith...by the hand of Christians...unarmed..civilians...please enlighten me...I doubt, that you can come up with higher figures then the other way around...and I don't mean civilians in an occupied country like Irak etc...the motives of the soldiers might vary here and there

It's pleasing for many to do some scandalising...in reference to Christianity...but woe..if you turn around...you have liberties in the west you'd never have in Saudi Arabia...not even in Turkey...in Saudi Arabia they fussed against simple US soldiers having their Bibles and having their fellowships and sermons or were these reports wrong I read years ago...tsk...

Be happy about that freedom you still enjoy...for the time being...can (will) change (my opinion)

Islam is so vicious towards Christianity...since there were some similarities in the beginnings...I suppose some Arianism and
some one- God-dogma...instilled by the Jews there

Jesus was prophesied His first coming...His second is also prophesied...where will leave that us???...ask that yourself
