The original post was referencing how current events might be affecting current TFI as far as how they are being interpreted, and also, whether or not it is triggering any people who are ex members. I've been out a very long time, but so have others I have known of that were at times preparing places in the wilderness..
I don't think prophecy supports recent developments. Instead, I think these are the crises we are dealing with in this decade. I know people have suspected LBJ was the anticrhist, or the watts riots in the sixties were a signal that the end was near, then there was the plague in ancient history that wiped out so many, certainly that was an end time panic. I've seen tracts that have specified the month when Jesus was supposed to come back- the last one was supposed to occur in 1992.
This wsn't a post about whether or not there are serious environmental concerns.
