my point was not to extol the virtues of one of history's worst examples of human flotsam, it was to say that even though there may be some good (or something that appears good) in a movement or a rising despot or whatever, the core was rotten. Hitler kissed babies and shook hands. That doesn't make others that do this "like Hitler" any more than it makes Hitler a good leader or an admirable person.
I can easily see how what I wrote disturbed you, but with explanation, it is not what it may have seemed.
