In regards to devices not executing scripts correctly, I maintain that it is not necessarily in my domain or falling under my responibility. I can only program scripts according to w3c standards. It is then up to devices and browsers to match w3c standards. A lot of the time, hardware and software manufacturers will claim that their products are standards-compliant, but they are only telling half the story. For a long time, Safari for example, would only implement some of the w3c standards but not all of them. So a lot of websites and web pages would simply fail to display or execute scripts properly.
