As I said before I used to get shook up about Xmas, but at this juncture there are bigger things about Christmas and the war on it to get shook up about especially with what has become known as the War on Christmas, here in the states. It becomes worse each year with the political correctness not to offend anyone with the celebration of the Lord's birth here on earth. I used to get shook up about Santa Claus, especially during the Family days with him being reffered to as Satan Claus. I like to see Santa like a manger scene picture I saw with him kneeling at the manger worshipping the new born King. Santa is a servant and if folks want to have him as part of their Christmas celebration it's ok. Whatever symbols or words are used Jesus is the reason for the season and it is because of His humble birth over 2000 years ago that all this is done.

I've got a book called the Bible in Rhyme. Some of it is a bit strange and hard to follow but I like the way the Nativity was put in it.

Luke 2:1-20, The Bible in Rhyme

In those days Caesar Augustus decreed
that a census be taken, so men went to be
counted on their town. Joseph went to
Bethlehem with Mary, though she was due.
And while they were there the baby was born.
They swaddled him tightly to keep the boy warm.
In a small stable manger the savior of men
Lay sleeping, for there was no room in the inn.
The shepherds who tended their sheep in the fields
Nearby were alarmed when God’s glory revealed.
A chorus of angels shone around them and said,
“Do not be afraid. We bring good news instead!
The Messiah is born! He lies now within
A manger and stable behind a small inn.”
The chorus broke forth, O glory above!
And peace to all men who seek God in love!”
So the Shepherds went forth and found the new babe,
In the manger the angels had said he was laid.
They praised Jesus, and Mary treasured their words.
They left to tell everyone what had occurred.
