I couldn't agree more with you. The history they are narrating is all true. It omits a lot of the important points that shaped them into what they are now because they want to clean their face. Berg had already envisioned this very same thing in one of his letters that directed them to make an index from where they would delete all the controversial stuff to tell a new story, their new history.
Keep in mind that in a few more years no living witness will remain. We are getting old and the new generations are telling each other their own stories. Many of those born in the cult have written them in this and other similar boards. That's is all they know. Those who ventured visiting and reading what we old fogs have to say may have an epiphany. For the most part, they have the mantra that we are no good and the cause of many of their calamities. I tend to agree with them but up to a point.
In any case, the re-engineering done by TFI will pay off for them, as Perry ask in GenX. Just like Mormons have cleaned their faces over the generations so will TFI. Their doctrines will be buried into the dark secret hallways of their private homes and those of their new fish in new forms of FFing as they continue proselytizing them. Berg doctrines are not dead and will not die. They are the bad seeds sown by the enemy of the husbandman who owns the crop born of the good seeds.
Also, keep in mind that sites like this have had a role in helping TFI. This is how they found out the points that need cleaning. We have a lot of bark without the teeth, and they knew it all along. As a result, the TFI allowed many half-hearted people rejoin over the last years.
Their PR says that what remains of TFI is a small structure to coordinate the work of multiple ministries around the world -- and that even that is done lightly, according to them.
It may be true or not, but considering the real history of TFI, their teachings and doctrines to deceive outsiders, the falsehood of their statements, and the reluctance to self-criticism, it is all suspicious.
What you say about Mother Eve, Faithy and Karen is so true. A group of power mongers drunks who got lucky and found clean clay among innocent youth and proceeded to pervert.
