There is a lot I regretted about the past, but now I don't wish to shut the door on it which means I don't deny my own pain from that period of my life in TF, and I don't deny the pain of the generation born in TF and I don't deny the path TF took as a whole with doctrine that first prostituted women, then pretty much everyone, then filtered down to Bergs' target appetite for prepubescent children. I got out before the worst of it and I got out very damaged myself. Dealing with that past has been no picnic. But over time, with therapy, some posts from other exers at exmember boards, I've gradually recovered. I think Pastor Don has, too. For him it has been about getting into something meaningful for him and re-building his life centered around a desire to be in Christian clergy/service. To me, it is very different, and is a process of re-building my life, forming friendships (for a long time, I avoid people, personally speaking- focusing on work), developing hobbies/interests such as art, crafts, music, writing. I'm not sure how long you have been around the forum here, but most people posting have been through a process of recovery in one way or another. I hate to marginalize any person here or assume anything about them as far as how they see things, how they view the past and I don't even know them personally.
