Well it is obvious that I will take the Christian/"Churchy view on this. What TFI taught and practiced on marriage is a complete perversion and lie of God's Word. What Berg came up with is something to excuse his sin and the sins of others, myself included.

One of my ministries is being a couples pastor, trying to strengthen marriages by small groups and also by counseling when needed. I believe marriage should be an image of the relationship we have with God, intimate and personal and with one person.

I was honored and blessed to lead a series with a great group of couples called Sacred Marriage with the premise: What if God designed marriage to make us holy instead of happy? It was based on the book by Gary Thomas. An interesting aspect that stuck with me is that God in many ways is like our "Holy Father in Law" If you have a daughter or son who gets married you desire the best and want the best out of the person they marry. Being Christians and being married our relationship ship lift up and glorify God!

One stupid Mo quote that sticks with me is, "God is in the business of breaking up families." What a lie and a bunch of crap! The true is just the opposite. I am thankful that I have my wife of 31 years, (we just celebrated our anniversary 9/11, can never forget the date). There have been battles though the years, which every relationship is going to go through. It is the nature of the beast! Thank God for strong marriages and strong families. It is one of the things I believe God has called me to do is help couples in this aspect.
