I cannot see how those examples of ‘christian mysticism’ are selective or fringe. ‘Mysticism’or Christian Mysticism is used exclusively in connection with spiritual outreach of this type, never where the Bible is in real focus. TFI is also sold down the mystical river, unfortunately.

Contemplative mysticism, contemplative outreach, contemplative prayer, contemplative spirituality, contemplative christianity, contemplative monasticism, -meditation, - music, - monks and nuns, - awareness, etc etc etc. Lots of it is based on Loyolas exercises.
There is literally no end to all the contemplative stuff you can subscribe and buy today.
So you are absolutely right, it is really worth taking note of, and everybody is into it.
