Nothing I wrote detracts from the good news of eternal life in Christ. In fact, what I am saying is that we can begin living here and now in the glory of the Kingdom to come. We don't have to wait until we physically die to taste a piece of that promised pie in the sky.

When we die, we'll meet Him face to face. If I die to self and surrender all to Him, doesn't my very being look upon Him in that moment of encounter? If not, then my faith is rather sterile.

This is just a way of talking about life in Christ. What is it about this particular narrative that makes uncomfortable?
