Considering the fact that an overwhelming number of survivors of cults need psychological help and many of them feel ashamed to seek it or succumb to hopelessness and kill themselves, I don't get the humor. Neither do I get the jabs at atheists or humanist chaplains. People of all faiths and with no faith in any kind of God experience battle fatigue, need counseling upon killing seeing others killed, being away from family for repeated year long terms, etc. Then there are ex members and survivors born into the cult that seriously need and deserve good professional help and have a hard time finding it, or struggle with feeling it a weakness to seek help.. I just don't find it funny. I find it sad and have to wonder what is so threatening about atheists or psychological help that is not exclusively Christian. I'm an atheist but I don't slam Christianity, just what some followers of it do. I know you and I would agree the westboro baptist church bunch are folks that you and I agree have some very bad behavior in the name of Christianity... Have you ever met an atheist that is compassionate, empathetic, concerned about life and what they leave behind for future generations? Atheists are not sociopaths or psychopaths by nature though they are humans and like all humans, there are some who are sick.
