My husbands family left the CoG/Family in 1980 when he was2 and his sister was 4.
He was very young and has no personal recollection of the lifestyle or teachings.
I am haunted by the thought that he could have been subject to inappropriate sexual contact... many of his cousins remained in the group until they were in their teens and I know for certain they experienced horrible things that they won't discuss.
At what ages did it become "acceptable" for children to be abused physically, or sexually?
All I know is what I have read on Wikipedia and I haven't had a chance to speak with anyone who could be honest and know the facts.
Prayers for peace, healing and that Gods truth would be seen by all is also my request.
