The above mentioned, people and church I don't consider Christianity, as they were are not living the tenets of Christianity. It takes more than saying your are "Baptist" and you are Christian to make you a Christian. One must walk the walk and not just talk the talk. As far as the above mentioned baptist church, they don't even talk the talk, but talk evil out of their mouths. All the above mentioned people when the time comes IMO, Jesus will say to them depart from me I never knew you! The Christians I know and I am associated with the "mainstrea" are not apathetic to the earth's resources, but stive to the best of their ability to realistically care for the place God has put in our hands to care for. Yes, I believe in a new heaven and a new earth, but, of the all the "church-churchy" poeple I know and the Christian scholars and theologians I have studied none are of the opinion that we are not to care for the earth because we are going to have a new one.
