I think Berg was definitely more right wing reactionary than anything else because of his attitude towards women and children as objects that should be subservient to the man of the house. But as far as politics goes, his politics shifted according to how he was or was not accepted by any given country, all of which eventually turned against him when they realized the nature of the beast. If China had rolled out the red carpet to him, he'd have been socialist (until rejected). If Idi Amin had rolled out the red carpet to TF, he'd have supported that sick dictator. So Berg was neither left wing or right wing but parasitical, not caring too much about the values of the host, but rather, how would they benefit him?
