I listened to a recent debate between Obama and McCain and Obama did express a vision to redirect attention to Afghanistan and International efforts to bring stability to that country.
It is very disturbing to me that McCain is in his seventies and a two time survivor of serious bouts with cancer. I can't imagine Palin as president of the United States. She is a good speaker in debating, but she doesn't clarify her position on anything but support for expanding oil drilling.
Our household will be voting Obama. I just hope he won't be assassinated. He will need lots of protection but I'd see his presidency as a meaningful step towards healing in the USA.
