Greetings in Jesus' precious name & God bless you! This jumbo-sized booklet is unlike any of the other booklets which we have given you in the past, for this is a very special edition which contains our frank & honest answers to the many false accusations & heinous charges which our bitter and jealous religious enemies have published against us recently!
Jesus Himself had similar problems with the self-righteous religious rulers of His day, as is clearly brought out in the story of His healing of the blind man in John chapter 9. After the religious leaders interrogated the formerly blind man, the Bible tells us, "Some of the Pharisees said, `This Man Who healed you is not of God, because He does not keep the Sabbath day!' Others said, `But how can a Man that is a sinner do such miracles?' And there was a division among them!"--John 9:16. Even though His enemies knew He had done good in healing the blind man, they condemned Him and claimed that He couldn't be of God because He had disregarded their religious laws by healing on the Sabbath!
Another chapter says, "There was much murmuring among the people concerning Jesus: For some said, `He is a good man!' But others said, `No! He deceives the people!'"--John 7:12. Jesus Himself said, "Do you suppose that I am come to give peace on Earth?--I tell you nay; but rather division!"--Luke 12:51. So it should not be surprising that the Truth still divides, and that due to our hypocritical religious enemies' recent rantings against us, people's opinions regarding us are now divided.
But we felt it would be helpful for you if we were to clearly state our answers to many of the controversial questions that have been recently raised against us. The Bible says that we should "be ready always to give an answer to everyone that asks us".--1Peter 3:15. So we hope that our answers to the many questions listed within this booklet will be a blessing & strength to you!
Jesus once told His disciples, "I do not call you servants, for the servant does not know what his Lord does. But I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made known unto you."--John 15:15. Likewise, we consider you to be our friends, & therefore wish to share with you the truth regarding many of our doctrines, beliefs & practices which have been called into question in the media of late. These questions & answers are not merely a defense of our beliefs, but a bold proclamation of God-given Scriptural truth!
Granted, some of these doctrines & teachings are shocking, & are certainly not the standard sort of worn-out old sermons that you hear preached from the pulpits in most churches! But we assure you that they are Bible-based & have certainly borne enough good fruit to prove that they are of God! Remember, Jesus said that this is how you can tell if something is really of God or not: By its fruit.--Matthew 7:20.--And you, those whom we have led to the Lord & spiritually strengthened through faithfully feeding you God's Word, are part of the good fruit that proves that we & our Words & practices are of the Lord!
We suggest that before reading this, you pray & ask the Lord by His Spirit, "Open Thou mine eyes" (Psalm 119:18), and ask Him to speak to your heart & feed & teach you as you spiritually feed from the very "meaty" material contained within this very special edition! May God bless & keep & strengthen you, & help you also to "be ready to give an answer" to those who question your faith & beliefs!
