Not to be related to any specific messages.

Without any specific messages in mind, it occurs to me that the Internet is one of the greatest threats in exposing the family. Therefore, it would stand to reason that this area would very possibly be targeted.
I think it is great to have different perspectives and viewpoints, while at the same time having a general purpose at any exer board as is described by each board.
What "Certain people" have done is to search backgrounds of "anti-cult" people and to dig up any possible dirt. I read such an article on Rick R. who does interventions and has an informative website. He is an ex-COG. Here is the link which discredits him:
http://www.religiousfreedomwatch.org/false_exp/ross1.html
If you go to this site you will get a very convincing portrait that Ross is an absolute con man. While I don't particularly like the guy, nevertheless there is a concerted effort by certain groups to discredit anyone that is anti-cult. And I personally believe this story is likely rooted in facts blown wayyyy out of proportion.
One of Berg's most memorable quotes was: "The best defense is a good offense".
Many people before the family were arrested or convicted of something in their life before, or if not, have something the family could blackmail them on if they leave and become active "enemies".
Others do not. But then again, many are not active against the Family. I just think this is something to keep in mind.
I also think it is each and every ex-members personal judgement call as to where or how or if they want to be involved in any efforts to either expose the family or to assist others with resources or just move on with their lives without any involvement at all with any exer or family site.
