I don't think it was your bad, I think it was the bad of the person who already knows that name is in use.
Frankly, I thought that SGA Jules didn't sound quite like herself. I'm glad I finally read enough of them to figure out it wasn't her before I went away with a totally different and lasting opinion of her.
There are ways to avoid the confusion. We have a whole pack of "David"s over at NDN. David C, David D, Dav ID, David Freelance (when he can sneak on), Dave McKay (when he isn't getting people to donate Kidneys). It is still a little confusing, but not impossible to figure out like having two people use "Jules".
