I do research for a living, and if I had to choose between studying 1st or 2nd generation exmembers, I'd pick 2nd gen in a heartbeat. These young people were raised as a social experiment and they offer incredible evidence for the concept of resilience. You can survey some of their history and stories at movingon.org
