I have enjoyed reading your story. I particularly loved the part about your bosses, that was just great and spot on. I also worked for bosses that were like working in heaven, they were so dear and wonderful. I couldn't believe the difference between them and the F. leadership and here the F. tries to tell their charges that they'd be so unhappy in the system. Well, that may be true with some jobs, but just like you pointed out, you can have sweet revenge and tell the boss to take their job and stuff it and find another even better job. I worked for two attorneys and they were just the best people to work for. If I made a mistake, they would point it out, we would discuss how to do things differently so it would be less likely to happen again and that would be the end of it. I agree too that honesty is highly appreciated in the job market. I tried to always be honest and admit my mistakes (maybe the F. confession sessions got me used to that - tee-hee) and like you, not pass it off on to someone else. Bosses always know when you are doing that. Anyway, I thought the way you wrote that was great.

Also, I know what you mean about huge memory chunks being missing. The kids do the same thing to me, "remember so and so, and this and that?" "they knew you, etc., etc." I just draw a big blank sometimes. Maybe you're right, we're trying to block out some unpleasant memories.
