PD,

I said what I said mostly to provoke some reflections. I often do that, and I do it with myself as well.

As far as your friend, I was not accurate in what I reported, but then I did not claim to be.

I realized he does not lie about his connection with the F, (though he does not call it the F or the Cog with the public as well, I am sure) but in a certain way if he says he is "proud of it" and if he uses FCF (which means he needs Gary and Zerby etc to continue his operation) that is at the very least an indication of some of his personal views. Again, I can only speculate, since he is your friend and I do not know him.

I want to throw out a few more provocative thoughts:

"the most uncomfortable place for a FM/CM is a comfortable place?"

(guess who I am paraphrasing, unless he stole it from somebody else to start with :)

and, the issue is not so much 'destroy' ( I really don't think that is the word I think about when I think about the F) but DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILITY from the F as an organization for its actions and its past.

Demanding that accountability will not stop. The Catholic Church is having to face that, regardless of its MANY good works and charitable acts, (and for that matter even any ex-Nazi running a number of good soup kitchens has had to face that as well.)

You can run, but you cannot hide, and I think some of us just want to make sure that the pressure and the demands for that accountability are kept alive by not shutting up and simply by keeping on saying what we are saying.
