About 4 years ago ALL Family musicians were ordered to sign their songs away tothe Family. The Family even "bought" exer's song for a pittance. Miguel sold. So did others. Singin' Sam told them, "Over my dead body." I assume that means he didn't sell.
So Simon probably signed legal papers and now his songs are gone. "Legally."
