...to bring in other women and jeopardize their whole family for the sake of having more women around." geepers, achieck, do you really think you know me well enough to lay these motives at my feet? you never even asked me how it happened or what were the circumstances? it was not that, i can assure you. it is a long story, a deeply personal one, and one involving other peoples feelings that i'm not sure i feel good about sharing w/ all my close and compassionate freinds on this board. that sort of implication is something i experienced regularly in the "trial by gn" in the family.

it seems to me that it would be helpful at least in the exmem community to realize that we all did things in the family that we certainly would never have dreamed of on our own, and for a wierd mix of motivations from desire to please God, to fear of man, to peer pressure, to altruism, to our own selfish fallen nature,to love as best anyone can figure that out. if that could be a given, a safer atmosphere for all might make this forum more like getting together w/ old friends, w/ whom we've shared some intense experiences, and talk, laugh, cry, sypathise, lovingly disagree, share new insights etc. but it seems another vision for this space prevails. and that is ok. people w/ more urgent business then mine abound. gby.
