That was a reminder, actually a thought I had not considered, and it hit home. The fact that discussions were not for getting closer personally (vain babbling) but for "official" purposes. That is so true. I think that between this, and moving alot, and never knowing when someone might give you the old "You have 5 minutes to get ready" at times, and then not even always know where you might be going....or why... it was very confusing. And talking to people on the outside was supposed to be for the purpose of using them for the family or for bringing them in to it. It is a huge task to get out and figure out who you are, what are your own beliefs, or to get close to anyone or trust anyone. I don't think the need for healing is just at the point of exit, but probably for years after that...
