Yeah I just had a chance to spend a little time with 2 people I've known a long time who are still F members. This time I was in the seat of being the "lesser person" because "Oh... my... God..." I don't even want to be FM.

Boy was it hard to get them to be up front. They come across so so sincere, and it seems genuine, but they are completely deceived. I used to be that way too so their sincerity is real I believe. That's the only thing that keep the F going I guess. It's hard for potential donors to turn down someone who is that earnest. That's what we learned provisioning and getting out the literature, tapes, CDs, videos, now they have CD cards and Activated. We would say we're opening a school in Brazil, but we didn't say it was not for the kids from a favela which is what the contact was thinking it was for... but the school we opened was only for our own kids. Or the fund raising thing is for orphanages, working with an institution. But the collaboration with these institutions is usually nothing more than a clown show that the home does there 2 or 3 times a year. The PR work you have shows all these photos that were taken the 1 or 2 times you went to the orphanage, but the donor thinks he's giving to orphans, when actually he's giving to support the home you are part of. That was my job for years, taking the photos and doing the newsletter. Often I did not feel right about how the money went for our bread and butter, but I told myself that God is blessing them because they've given to help His end time work.
