Hi Joseph,

I have read all the threads below, and I just wanted to offer you my 2 cents:

1) I, for one, always like reading you. Unlike some, you have many interesting and funny/ironic things to say. And alas, you do not quote scriptures to make a point, or use religious lingo galore -- that is enough to make you particularly endearing as a poster. :)

2) you can be very provocative at times, and I suspect that may trigger some buttons in some...but that is a good thing in my book (provocation) - It takes one to know one.

3) just as a final comment and endorsement to much of what you have expressed, I want to remind you that posters post individually individual opinions and do not represent a site as a whole, or even a community.

Each poster ONLY represents him/herself.

I post on this site as well, and I am exfamily, but I do not feel part of a lump at all, because there are enormous differences between me and many other exmembers (I could actually get into listing aspects that put me in a very small minority :) and others who happen to post here.

4) I wanted to make sure that was clear, because I agree with your point about typecasting and stereotyping groups as a whole. I just want to make sure you realize that is true also of any people considered 'exmembers' or 'exfamily.' It is by no means a monolithic category where people share more than just having been in the same cult at one time. Keep that in mind!
