Good point. Even though I believe I have sampled a large part of the population, it is possible that it only amounts to a small percentage. You probably know better than I do how many people have ever been in the family. If it were 10,000 and I've met as many as 100, it might feel to me like I've met a LOT of ex-members, but given those (made up) numbers, I've only met 1%.

Also, in that 1%, it would only include those ex-members willing to mix with other ex-members in an online or face to face situation. Thinking back to Griffith Park, I remember Jane becoming so nervous about it, she wanted to back out at the last minute. I had to pretty much make her go because she had agreed to help Shebuah, who appeared to be falling apart at the seams.

So, given that dynamic in the mix, I can see how a person like myself could come away with an unfair conclusion, since it doesn't include the other 99% of ex-members out there, and the 1% is probably mostly made up of the very outgoing, perhaps with somewhat extream personalities.

Or not.

It is still my experience, based on what I have seen. But, I am willing to concede that my experiece may have been infulenced by unusual circumstances. Also, I'm not reporting the experience to the 99%, I'm reporting it to the 1% that I have met, so in that universe, it is still a valid point, in my humble opinion.
