"If you aren't interested in getting help from ex-members who might still be Pro-Berg? Who is going to want to get help directly from The
Family?"

This is something that is hard for you to understand, having only been an outsider. I am sure I speak for 90% of ex-members to say that had such help been available from the Family we would have accepted it gladly. The help would be paid for by our own hard earned tithes. The f. would be taking responsibility for their failures. It would be a chance to create a dialog and influence changes for the better. It will never happen because the f. brags about being a theocracy, not a democracy with checks and balances.

"The point seems to be, that those I have mentioned do offer help. Despite this, somehow they aren't good enough for the criticism mill. Yet, these people seem to have no shortage of people looking for their assistance, and they continue to do it in the face of the criticism they receive."

The disagreement is with the word "help" I doubt people are being helped if they go to Cancion who says Maria is evil, but papa Berg the originator of the ideas of free sex and pedophilia is good. The original question was about helping SGA's. Why not go to movingon and ask them if they would recommend Cancion? Again this is the kind of thing it takes being an ex-member to understand. Sorry to rub your face in this. I would never wish for you to be an ex-member.

"If these young people don't want to be in what you consider to be a pro-Berg environment, then I would suggest some of the anti-Berg people offer an alternative, and put it out there."

I agree, it is out there but not as big and public. Give us some time, I hope the anti-berg get their act together too. You are right that I haven't been to Barney's house recently. If reading what he writes and hearing what he says is an indication of his state of mind, he is too pro f. He is still too fishy and unclear about the most crucial issues to ex-members. One last time I will rub your face in the point, it takes being an ex-member to smell the fishy cult of personality and understand that it means trouble. Look deeper because it matters. The things you mentioned are practical things Barney does. If he is doing all that plus allowing or encouraging SGAs to remain unclear about crucial issues, he will not help them to get the cult out of their system. As an ex-member having gone through what I did to normalize myself, I would never wish for any SGA to have a new start at life in an unclear environment. I would emphasize over and and over, clarity and consistency with long term goals of healing and getting decogged. I hope we anti-f. people get our act together to offer something organized soon.
