"(Hey, hey! GROUP HUG everyone! EVeryone now, Achiek, Joseph, Mekka, WC.)"

I've never met Mekka, but we have exchanged some very casual and friendly messages over at NDN Casual Corner, so I feel like I know her beyond our arguments on the board.

I've never met WC, although I've been comparing technical notes with him since long before exfamily.org opened. I feel like I know him beyond "Family" topics.

I've even had the pleasure of meeting Ray, in a setting other than the BB's. He and is wife happen to exhibit in a Trade Show that my company is the General Contractor for. We've had fun sitting around the Embassy Suites in Anaheim during happy hour, and talked about anything but what goes on at the boards.

Achieck has been a guest in my home at least half a dozen times. I've been to her home twice. As recently as late April, we all had dinner at a Thai Restaurant. We've had some major arguements on the boards, and in email. But, we manage to remain friends, even if we do have to send a "do you hate me?" message once in awhile just to see if we are okay.

The challenge is to focus on issues, and aruge those with passion. that's the trick. I'm not saying I'm always good at pulling it off!

Something WC said in his recent post about the nature of Bulletin Boards rang very true. It was regarding remembering that the people on the other end are human, and have feelings.
