To Rocky - where's your "the F. as a sexist cult" essay?

You were going to put something together. I'd very much like to hear your thoughts. Especially since you are a jewel, IMO, a former member who has become a counselor on sexual abuse. You have an expertise and the experience on top of it. I value your words and hope to have an articles section with some of the things you have written here. I wish I had had more of those kind of things to read when I first left. It was so painfully hard for me and there was nothing to speak of out there for any real help in the area that I needed. Sure, I had a few books and some of them were a big help, but no one knows the F. like you and can relate the two.

I'm really going through it today because I've been talking to my daughter who just returned from visiting with her father. All these things she has been saying about her trip and what a conniving, manipulating, user father she has - brought all these memories back. I had forgotten what a complete jerk he was and apparently still is. I think he was mean to my daughter because she reminded him of me - outspoken and self-assured - so had to make sure and put her in her place. These are the kind of people who do well in the F.

Anyway, you were going to write up something about the way the F. abuses women, not so obvious or extreme as in some cultures, to the point of actually putting women to death and all, but in the endless pregnancies and powerless lives with no real say in any matters. How they are disempowered through lack of education and knowledge of the world around them. How they are used for sexual pleasures and child-rearing. I don't know, it's just a sore spot again for me and I'd like to take you up on your promise. Thanks, Rock-o.
